Objective:

Jointly developed by the University of Cambridge and the Singapore Ministry of Education, the Secondary 4 Preparatory course is conducted based on the Ministry of Education’s Express stream’s syllabus.

Upon completing this level, students will be equipped with knowledge in the areas of English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities and will be prepared to embark on the Secondary 4 Level.

Teaching syllabus will be based on the Ministry of Education’s recommended syllabus for Secondary 3 Express.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

-    Completed at least 9 years of formal education
-    Min. 15 years old (Min. age to take the GCE ‘O’ Level exams)
-    English Proficiency: IELTS 2.5 – 3.5 or its equivalent*

* To be exempt from the ESOL language foundation course, applicants MUST possess an English language proficiency level of IELTS 2.5 or its equivalent. ALL applicants MUST sit for and pass an English test conducted by the School. Otherwise, ALL other applicants are required to undergo a minimum of 10 weeks of the English language foundation course till the attainment of the equivalent of
IELTS 2.5.

Award of Qualification & Examination Requirements

Students will be given a joint certificate by University of Cambridge and the Ministry of Education upon completion of the GCE ‘O’ Level examinations.
