Secondary 3 Preparatory Course

Objective:

Jointly developed by the University of Cambridge and the Singapore Ministry of Education, the Secondary 3 Preparatory course is conducted based on the Ministry of Education’s Express stream’s syllabus.

Upon completing this level, students will be prepared in the areas of English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities so as to embark onto the next level, ie the Secondary 3 level.

Teaching syllabus will be based on the Ministry of Education’s recommended syllabus for Secondary 2 Express.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

-    Completed at least 8 years of formal education
-    Min. 13 years old
-    English Proficiency: IELTS 2.5 or its equivalent*

* To be exempt from the ESOL language foundation course, applicants MUST possess an English language proficiency level of IELTS 2.5 or its equivalent. ALL applicants MUST sit for and pass an English test conducted by the School. Otherwise, ALL other applicants are required to undergo a minimum of 10 weeks of the English language foundation course till the attainment of the equivalent of
IELTS 2.5.

Mode of Delivery

- Assignments, projects and class tests
- Tests and end-of-year examinations are set, conducted and graded by Bristol’s teachers

Examination Period

End September – Early October

Award of Qualification & Examination Requirements

Students will be given a Certificate of Completion by Bristol Business School if he/ she achieves at least a C6 in all the subjects attempted during the end-of-year examinations.
